Hatzot Restaurant ★

Legend has it that the famous Jerusalem Mix Grill (or Me’orav Yerushalmi in Hebrew) was invented in 1970 within the four walls of Hatzot restaurant.
It all began when the restaurant’s founder, Avraham Agami, found he didn’t have enough coal to grill the meat and instead decided to roast the cuts in an iron platter on the stovetop. The rest is history…

The kosher restaurant earned its name thanks to a concept that was ahead of its time – partying from midnight till the small hours. To this day the restaurant has become a real institute in Jerusalem, specializing in grilled meats, home cooked stews and of course the legendary Jerusalem mix grill that owes its flavors to a secret mixture of spices.

The menu at Hatzot includes top quality meats grilled at 150 degrees. The salads are always fresh and are seasonal, prepared with the very best produce from Mahane Yahuda market.

The long lasting tradition is carried on by the second generation of the Agami family, skillfully tending to the meats and feeding guests with endless love.
